This is an early map of the county of Berkshire and is based upon Christopher Saxton’s survey.   It shows the important features of the county, including market towns, forests, hills and bridges.  It is decorated with large strapwork title and scale cartouches and a fine compass rose.    It is from Camden's 'Britannia'.  This offering is accompanied by 14 pages of English text (by P. Holland, 1637) on this county with all material in a folio.
