This handsome North America map shows good topographical detail including of the river system along with numerous Indian tribes. The Rocky Mountains are shown to form a single dominant range down the entire continent. Two noteworthy elements regarding incomplete continental surveys: The non-existent Lake Trimpanogos carries the notation "Doubtful" and an unnamed lake in the approximate location of the Great Salt Lake is noted as "The Western limits of this lake are unknown." Also, the northern part of the continent is not well defined yet.
