1851 Tallis Map of Syria / Israel
This is an ornate and highly decorative map of Syria, filled with detail.  There is also good detail on present day Lebanon, and Israel. The steel engraved map features four vignettes and fancy borders of the Tallis style: Jerusalem, a camel caravan and two sets of the locals.   Engraved by J. Rapkin.  Color outline.
